Middlesex University Fairtrade Fair

As part of the Fairtrade Fortnight, the University’s Fairtrade team is hosting a one-day fair with over 12 stalls, escape rooms, a choir and special guests. This is part of #shedeserves, a three year campaign intitiated by the Fairtde Foundation, celebrating Female Empowerment and raising awareness of the struggles female farmers encounter in the cocoa industry.

I’ll be a fun packed day and of course, free Fairtrade tea and coffee.

Activities will include:

  • an Escape Room, hosted by Christian Aid, highlighting impacts of climate change
  • a VR Experience also hosted by Christian Aid
  • a performance by the MDX OneVoice Choir. The Choir is a mix of like minded Middlesex students and staff showing solidarity and unity for Fairtrade.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Tim Blackman and his Executive team will join the event alongside the Mayoress of Barnet.

Throughout the day we will invite staff and students to tell us about the special women in their lives, in order to capture #shedeserves short clips which will then be collated and shared with our marketing and Fairtrade social media teams.

There will be free samples and Fairtrade products available to purchase.
