Stand BI Me launch
Over the last few decades, social awareness and acceptance of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender, queer and non-binary (LGBTQ+) people have increased phenomenally.
However, not everyone has benefited equally from these improvements, including bisexual people, who unfortunately are still too often disregarded or misunderstood.
In fact, a recent ONS report found that people who identify as bisexual experience significantly higher levels of anxiety than any other group, as well as lower levels of life satisfaction and happiness.
This is why we, the leading mental health charity in England and Wales, have been working on a resource to help service providers and employers become genuinely bi-inclusive.
We are delighted to invite you to the launch event, kindly hosted by Berwin Leighton Paisner LLP at their London Bridge offices.
- 17:30-18:00: Arrival, teas and coffes
- 18:00-19:00: Welcome and panel session + Q&A
- 19:00-20:00 Networking drinks and canapes
A panel of outstanding speakers will help us explore the issues bisexual people face, with a particular focus on their experiences of discrimination and the impact on their mental health.
Speakers will include:
- Jonathan Andrews, co-founder of the London Bisexual Network and author of the publication that will be launched at the event
- Dominic Arnall, Head of Projects and Programmes at Stonewall
- Marcel Vige, Head of Equality Improvement at Mind
The panel will be introduced by Daisy Reeves, Partner, international LGBT champion and co-founder of BLP’s LGBT group.
We expect this event to sell out, so please do secure your ticket now by completing your registration.
